Ruskin Museum, Coniston

The appearance of the museum gates is based on a traditional field gate which is inkeeping with the location, environment and the museums local history theme.  Pieces include the main vehicle entrance, pedestrian gate and a removable bollard.

To give the contemporary twist, they have been constructed using t-sections that have been split and forged into the ram's heads and shepherds crooks.  The main gate and bollard have pierced copper signage panels, which continues the connection with the Coniston copper mines theme.

Chris Brammall was also commissioned to design and enhance several internal exhibits and showcases within the museum.
