Chetham's School of Music
The brief to Chris Brammall was to create new railings for the music school along the existing boundary to the new Cathedral Gardens development.
The musical stay and notes run the full length of the railings that follow the curved contour of the wall. York stone cladding was used to cover the existing wall that was used as a backdrop for new metal signage. Each panel weighted 250kg and was fixed with long spigots diamond core drilled into the wall.
