On Saturday 10th November CBL exhibited at the first UlverSTEM event held at the Coronation Hall.  As one of the organising businesses of the event we had hoped for a few hundred visitors but nothing could have prepared us for over 2000 - which is exactly what happened!

Cathy and Owen were on-hand to talk to visitors about CBL and the wide range of projects we are involved with.  Our work takes us all around the country and we proud to be based here in Ulverston whilst flying the flag for 'creating amazing metalwork worldwide'.

Over 35 businesses, further education providers and public sector organisations offered a range of STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) related activities, challenges and interactives to help demonstrate the benefits of studying STEM subjects.   Our Muddled Metal was a huge hit with the leader board topping at only 19 seconds!

From science experiments and virtual reality to a bike that makes smoothies and robots there was something for the whole family to enjoy.

It is hoped that this event will become a regular feature in the Ulverston event calendar and we are really looking forwards to being part of UlverSTEM in the future.
