An exhibition featuring pieces from the Chris Brammall interior home accessories range has opened in Ambleside.
Artist and designer Chris is well known for his range of award winning sculptures, bridges and public realm pieces found at key locations within Cumbria.
Now, a new exhibition featuring landscape tables and wall hangings depicting some of the most iconic Lake District landscapes has opened at the Old Courthouse Gallery in Ambleside complementing a wider display of landscape works.
The hand-forged pieces - created in steel and bronze - have been inspired by Chris's love of the Lake District and his blacksmith roots , the designs include seven well known mountain ranges; Black Crags Needle, Skiddaw, Scafell Pike, Great Gable, the Langdale Pikes, Helvellyn and Yoke/Ill Bell/Froswick.
Chris comments "Most Lake District landscapes are seen in water colour or photographic form. The steel and bronze creations present the mountain ranges with burnished surfaces adding texture and movement in a different and unique way. For me, there is something infectious about the Lake District which has inspired creative writers and artists for centuries. Using the influences of an area of outstanding natural beauty in my work is something I am particularly passionate about and I hope the pieces in the new exhibition demonstrate that".
The exhibition at The Old Courthouse Gallery, Market Place, Ambleside is open 7 days a week and runs until 31st December.
There is also a special 10% discount on all purchases before the end of the year.
